Patient Appreciation Events in a Dental Practice

Appreciation events are a great opportunity to increase goodwill with patients of the dental practice. They provide a fun time for patients and a way for patients to feel more tied into the practice and the staff. There are many options for such events and the information below can act as a guide for organizing and implementing such events.

Types of Events:

Swim Party – reserve a City Pool and host a party
Dunk the Dentist – a carnival type event held at the dental office parking lot
Picnic or Carnival at the park – food, games, prizes
Movie Night/Morning – a free family movie event at local movie theatre
BBQ in parking lot – host food and activities in parking lot
Bowling Alleys, Pizza Places, Ice Skating Arenas, Gaming Centers, Laser Tag, Amazing Jakes or similar – rent facility for patients and families (or if to expensive use for a staff appreciation event with their families.)

Things to Do:
Reserve location – Pick a date
Flyer for patients – everyone invited, just have to call office to rsvp (need #’s to plan food and activities.
Involve Staff –
Nametags for everyone (staff AND patients/friends)
Raffle tickets
Photographer – take pictures for reception area book afterwards
Serve Food – pizza, long subs, snacks, drinks (H2O), nearby business
Activities-dunk tank, carnival type games, inflatables, relays
Prizes – toys and children items, gift cards/gift certificates
Set-up & Clean-up – tables & coverings, plates and utensils, garbage
